These cover this website and the demo. What a school gets when it licenses Startosoft is set out in its own agreement, which is what governs that relationship.
This website
The pages here describe the product as it stands and are kept accurate to the best of our knowledge. Prices, capabilities and timelines discussed here are indicative until they are in a written quotation.
The demo
The demo is offered for evaluation. It resets on a schedule, may be unavailable while we update it, and carries no guarantee of availability. Please do not put real personal data into it, do not use it to store anything, and do not run security testing against a school's live installation — tell us instead and we will arrange a target.
Fair use
Do not attempt to disrupt this site or the demo, to access accounts that are not the published demo accounts, or to use either in a way that would stop other people evaluating the product.
Licensing the software
A school licence covers one school on hosting the school controls, for the licence period, including updates and the support level agreed. The school's own data remains the school's property throughout and is exportable at any time, including at the end.
Intellectual property
The software, its source code and this site's content belong to RASPSYS LLP. A licence grants use, not ownership. Content a school puts into its own installation — its website text, its records, its documents — belongs to the school.
Liability
We take care over software that holds children's records, and the licence agreement sets out what we are responsible for. Nothing on this page limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. The version on this page is the current one.
